1. It Gets Things Moving and Makes the Melt Stronger
Think of it as a high-power plasticizer. It gets PVC to melt faster and more evenly by making the material less sticky early on, so heat and machine shear work more effectively. Its real strength comes from its very high molecular weight. In the melt, it creates a strong, web-like network that gives the molten PVC extra body and strength. This is the secret to good foaming—it keeps the bubble walls tough so they don’t pop or merge, giving you a final product with a fine, even foam structure. It also helps control how fast the bubbles grow to avoid big, uneven ones or collapse.

2. It Smooths Out the Process and the Final Product’s Look
This regulator makes the molten PVC flow better. When you’re making pipes, it gets rid of that rough “shark skin” texture on the surface. For clear items, it cuts down on unmelted specks (“fish eyes”), so the finish is smoother and lets more light through. This smoother flow isn’t just about looks—it can bump up your extrusion line speed by around 10%-15% and means less stopping to fix issues like melt fracture.
